Kayleigh oversees SupplyRI operations and acts as a matchmaker between Suppliers and Anchors, introducing procurement opportunities and resources. She is helping Rhode Island businesses grow and expand within their own state.
Professional Background
Kayleigh has over 5 years of experience working with economically disadvantaged communities, through the lens of food access, equity, and policy. She completed her MBA in August of 2022, during which she worked with Commerce RI as a Food Strategy and Policy Intern. Before pursuing her master’s, she managed a nutrition program for the Boston Public School District where she increased local procurement within the institution. Prior to that role, Kayleigh was a Public Health Dietitian for the City of Anchorage, Alaska – where she led efforts to increase equitable access to regionally sourced food. From early on in her career, Kayleigh has recognized the importance of strong local supply chains in the overall resilience and empowerment of communities, she brings this understanding into her role at Commerce RI.
Education
Kayleigh holds both a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics and an MBA focused on Sustainable Innovation from The University of Rhode Island.
