Urban Smart Growth, LLC is proposing a $38.9 redevelopment of a nearly 140,000 square-foot building in the historic Hope Webbing Company mill complex in Pawtucket. The development will include 149 loft-style apartments with supporting facilities and amenities and is the third phase in Urban Smart Growth’s redevelopment of the complex, renamed Hope Artiste Village. Previous phases of the development included a significant commercial and retail component with small-scale manufacturing, office space, restaurants, event space, and retail space. The building is highly visible from Interstate 95 and its redevelopment will return a blighted historic structure to productive use and help stimulate economic development in Pawtucket.
Approved Incentive
The Sponsor has requested up to a maximum of $3,569,657 in Rebuild Rhode Island Tax Credits, which will be issued over 5 years.

Urban Smart Growth, LLC is a real estate firm based in Pawtucket. The firm owns developments across the country and has successfully completed several Rhode Island projects including Phases 1 and 2 of Hope Artiste Village and the renovation of the former Worcester Textile Mill in North Providence.
