Rhode Island’s Economic Development Strategy
Rhode Island Innovates 2.0 has been accepted by the U.S. Economic Development Agency (EDA) as the state’s current Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) equivalent. As a CEDS equivalent, RI Innovates 2.0 analyzes the state’s economic situation, evaluates policies and programs that have been enacted to support economic growth, and proposes next steps to keep Rhode Island regionally competitive and ever more economically resilient in the years to come.
For entities interested in applying for funding from EDA, Rhode Island Innovates 2.0 should be listed as the relevant CEDS with which the goals and strategies of the funding request align.
