WALTER KONDON
Director of Loan Portfolio and Credit
Walter joined the Commerce Corporation in July 2024 as Director of Loan Portfolio and Credit. He is responsible for credit and loan management of all Financial Programs within Commerce RI including the underwriting of new loan requests, managing existing loan portfolio, workout, participation in business development, and client servicing.
Professional Background
Walter began his career in the private sector working for small businesses as a Controller and then Chief Financial Officer. Later he transitioned into lending and was most recently Senior Credit Officer for Massachusetts Grow Capital Corporation, an organization that lends and provides technical assistance to businesses.
Education
Walter earned both his undergraduate degree and MBA from The George Washington University.
