SHARON PENTA
Operations Manager
Sharon is responsible for the daily activities and initiatives of the chief operating officer of the Commerce Corporation, oversees the flow of information to both internal staff and external partners, and works on projects and initiatives pertaining to the operation and functionality of the agency. She is liaison to the corporation’s board of directors and is responsible for the coordination and execution of board meetings. In addition, Sharon manages the support staff and activities associated with the daily operations of the corporation.
Professional Background
Sharon joined the agency in 1995 after relocating from New Hampshire where she was assistant corporate secretary/executive assistant to the chairman and CEO of First NH Banks, a division of the Bank of Ireland. Previously, she was executive assistant to the chairman and CEO of Outlet Communications, a national multi-media company located in Providence. Sharon began her career in private industry at Stanley Fastening Systems, a worldwide manufacturer located in East Greenwich, RI.
Education
Sharon graduated from Katharine Gibbs Business School and attended the University of New Hampshire and the University of Rhode Island.
