LINDSAY RUSSELL
Deputy Communications Director
As a member of the communications team, Lindsay serves as Rhode Island Commerce’s spokesperson to the media and the public. She works with reporters to share the exciting work that Commerce is supporting across the Ocean State.
Lindsay also supports production of external materials and publications, including Access to Public Records Act requests.
Professional Background
Before joining Rhode Island Commerce, Lindsay served as Deputy Communications Director to Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI). In that role, she managed all social media channels, prepared remarks for events and floor speeches, and worked with local and national media to amplify the Congressman’s work for Rhode Island’s Second District.
She also managed the office’s economic development advisory council, where she worked with dozens of stakeholders who helped inform the Congressman’s work on small business and economic policy.
Education
Lindsay holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and journalism from American University in Washington, DC.
