Communications and Stakeholder Engagement OfficerA native Rhode Islander, Jennifer joins RI Commerce after a 20-year public affairs career in Washington DC. A former White House staffer during the Clinton Administration, she brings a national perspective to her work at Commerce.
Jennifer’s professional background includes experience holding highly responsible positions in the local, state, and federal government as well as the private and non-profit sectors.
An accomplished advocate and communications professional, Jennifer spend 12 years on Washington’s legendary K Street as an executive at Holland & Knight, a top-tier Washington DC public affairs firm. In this role, Jennifer effectively led several grassroots campaigns to enact or defeat high-profile Congressional and White House proposals and implemented national public policy, communications and advocacy campaigns for local governments, universities, corporations, and non-profit organizations. During this time, she developed an expertise in federal funding assisting her clients in accessing close to a billion dollars in federal programmatic and research funding.
Since returning to her beloved home state, Jennifer has joined the boards of Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education (RISE) and the Bay View Academy Alumni Association. She holds a B.A. in American Studies from Providence College.
