Michael’s assignments fall under three main areas: planning activities, operations activities and project management. He has worked on and managed projects including the disposition and subsequent acquisition of surplus Navy property, brownfields cleanup, commercial and industrial real estate redevelopment, state and local planning projects, and statewide regulatory reform initiatives.
Michael is a senior project manager with the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation. He was hired in 1994 by the then Rhode Island Port Authority and Economic Development Corporation. Prior to coming to the Commerce Corporation, Michael worked work for General Dynamics Corporation, Electric Boat Division, for over 12 years. During that employment period, Michael worked in the engineering administration, R&D and Strategic Planning departments.
Michael earned a bachelor of science in business administration and a master’s of public administration from the University of Rhode Island. Michael also holds a Rhode Island real estate sales license.
