Lara Salamano is the Chief Marketing Officer of the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation, leading the coordinated, data-driven, statewide, marketing campaign to bring more tourists and more businesses to Rhode Island. She possesses a proven track record of developing and implementing innovative brand marketing strategies across multiple networks, platforms and demographics that result in long-term brand equity and revenue growth. Lara has broad expertise in consumer-facing, pro-social marketing yielding measurable results.
Prior to assuming her current role at the corporation, Lara served as Vice President for Partner Marketing for Pop Media for three years. In this role she oversaw and executed strategic ad campaigns for clients focused on a 360-degree approach to marketing, working across multiple demographics, target audiences, age groups, and platforms.
She has also held high-level marketing roles at The Promotional Edge and Viacom working on brands such as Nickelodeon, Epix, CMT, and TV Land, to name a few.
Lara is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
