Emily serves as Senior Manager of Business Development. She performs direct outreach to companies in order to encourage investment and create jobs in the state of Rhode Island. Emily also works to promote awareness of Rhode Island’s sector strengths and innovative incentive programs.
Prior to assuming her current role, Emily was Senior Consultant at OCO Global, an economic development consulting firm specializing in the attraction of foreign direct investment and trade services. Working side-by-side with investment promotion agencies around the globe, Emily was able to successfully support agencies looking to attract investment in the tech, life sciences, manufacturing and professional services industries.
Before consulting work, Emily served as Associate of Real Estate and Business Attraction at Brick City Development Corporation in Newark, NJ, leading the development of a high-tech sector development strategy for Newark and the development of relationships and programming with United Kingdom Trade and Investment, Etsy Craft Entrepreneurship Program, and coding education programs for Newark residents.
Emily serves on the International Committee of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
Emily graduated with her BA in economics and political science from the University of Delaware. She also received a full fellowship to attend and receive her MA in international relations at Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, and holds a MA in city and regional planning from Rutgers University.
