ANTHONY CORMIER
Senior Art Director
Anthony Cormier is the Senior Art Director for the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation. In this role, he designs digital and print collateral to help support the economic development initiatives of Rhode Island. He plays a vital role in the marketing campaigns to bring more tourists and more businesses to the state.
Professional Background
Anthony comes from a private-sector background. He has held several positions at a creative startup in Providence, RI, as well as lead design roles for several Fortune-500 companies based in the New England area.
He volunteers with The American Institute of Graphic Arts (working with design students doing portfolio reviews) and serves on the Curry College Public Art Committee (helping bring art to the school’s campus). He also donates his time to Relay for Life and The Tomorrow Fund.
In 2013, he was the recipient of the Best Conceptual Thinker Award by his peers. A passionate photographer, he was born and raised in Cranston, attended Cranston High School West, and is currently living in West Warwick, where he is restoring his late grandparents’ home.
Education
Anthony holds a BA from Curry College in graphic design.
