Jason E. Kelly serves as Executive Vice President and as a board member for Moran Shipping Agencies, Inc., where he has worked in various roles since 1994. He is a graduate of Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and earned an MBA in Shipping and Logistics from Middlesex University, London.
As an active member of the global maritime community, Jason participates in the Association of Ship Brokers and Agents (Treasurer), the Chamber of Shipping of America, BIMCO, Intertanko, and the Federation of National Associations of Brokers and Agents.
Now a longtime resident and enthusiast of Providence, RI, he volunteers locally as a Board Member for CommerceRI; a Board member for Growsmart RI; a Providence Foundation Trustee; a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council, URI Graduate School of Oceanography; Vice Chair, Providence Harbor Management Commission; member, Mystic Aquarium President’s advisory board; member, Rhode Island Freight Advisory Committee; and member, the Narragansett Bay Propeller Club.
Jason is an advocate for commercial shipping and smart-ocean planning, strongly supporting industry best practices in safety, security, and environmental stewardship.
